(Photo by Apichart Jinakul)A big two-storey house on a large block of land was destroyed by fire in Thung Mahamek area of Sathon district on Wednesday morning. Five fire engines and crews were rushed to the burning house, which is in a 960 square metre compound off a small alley. Anuwat Wanarak, the 50-year-old owner of the house, said he had rented it to an Iranian family of four for 65,000 baht a month since June. He quoted his tenants as saying that they had run the air conditioners all night long.
